Recently, small and medium-sized motors branch of China Electrical Appliance Industry Association, small and medium-sized motors and system engineering technology research center, electrical products branch of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products, small and medium-sized motors professional committee of China Electrotechnical Society, national rotating motor standardization technical committee The "2012 11th China Electrical Machinery and System Development Forum&Promotion and Implementation of Energy Efficiency Standard GB18613-2012 and Relevant Policy Discussion and Interpretation Conference" jointly sponsored by Shanghai Electric Apparatus Research Institute was held in Shanghai. The theme of this forum is "the development opportunities of motor industry in strategic emerging industries".

The forum invited more than 10 experts and professors to make special academic reports. Sun Guangbin, secretary-general of Electrical Products Branch of China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products, delivered a report on "the impact of new changes in domestic and international economic situation on the import and export of mechanical and electrical products in China", and Chen Weihua, secretary-general of Small and Medium sized Motors Branch of China Electrical Appliance Industry Association, delivered a keynote report on "the transformation and development of the motor industry and opportunities".

The meeting attracted representatives from motor manufacturers, relevant supporting units and research institutes all over the country. They all said that at the professional forum, they were deeply inspired to learn about today's efficient motors, motor system energy conservation, and new research and application achievements of motors in strategic emerging industries, and to get the opportunity to communicate with peers, especially to directly discuss product research and development technology issues with experts.
